On August 19, 2016 we marked a milestone – 100 days since we started our house sitting adventure. It is quite remarkable to look back over our photos and see all that we’ve done. The picture of our garage is a little scary! In honour of our 100 days on the road, we put together this little video. The title, ‘100 Days in Paradise’ is inspired by Paul Henry, who on his early morning TV show (Paul Henry Show) signs off with the phrase, “Have a brilliant day in paradise!” Enjoy!

Love it guys.
New Zealand is somewhere I haven’t had the pleasure of hanging my hat as yet. You have certainly whet my appetite to do so.
I would love the ones with chooks. Love chooks!
All the best for the next 1000 days.
Cheers
Francien
PS
I will be working on setting up my website next week as I will be in Malvern as Mt Toolebewong is dicey with Internet reception.
Great Francien. NZ is really a must do and house sitting seems to be quite popular and chooks are quite common. Look forward to the website collaboration.
I love this and I just smiled throughout the whole video! Thanks for sharing your wonderful NZ house sitting and traveling memories, you’ve inspired me to consider creating a video of our own adventures.
Thanks Sue – pleased it made you smile. It is great fun putting it together as you look through all your photos. There are lots of options for easy to use software including powerpoint, photostory, iMovie, Camtasia etc etc.
Wow boys what a lovely record of the first 100 days! I’m so pleased you are having a lovely time and although I am sure there are times when you crave your own bed you continue to make the most of every day. What an inspiring way to live life. We miss you and look forward to seeing you either here or there soon.

Thanks so much! Funny thing about the bed is that we have slept in some of the most comfortable beds on the planet, albeit sometimes with a dog curled up at the end! Who knows where in this great world we will meet up. Have a week in Mosman coming up and a month in Darwin! Back in Sydney September 19. Hope Charlie is continuing to give hours of pleasure – maybe we will get to house sit him one day!
Best thing we saw on the internet after a 6 week drought with all the nbn problems was a 100 days in paradise NZ is such a beautiful country don’t know about dogs sleeping on the bed!! must have been all those trips {complete with scrap bucket} to Wongajong chook yard that helped with the chooks. Many thanks for all the computer & phone problems. Have fun take care, Love Mum & Dad
Every time I feed the chooks I remember the days on the farm – good training! As was learning to drive on a manual car as we had a manual Toyota on Waiheke Island – farm boy comes through again. So pleased you are now connected again.
You are so clever! I think I am smarter than the average bear but I am an absolute dill with this infernal machine. Full of admiration for your mutual skills- but I don’t want to housesit or visit NZ -again. Glad it is all going so well for you. See you in September. Lynn.
Thanks Lynn and we look forward to catching up too in September. Currently sitting in Waiheke Library which is a great modern building and very well resourced.
Fab video! Loved following your adventures. Cheers from Chris and Mick currently exploring northern Scotland.
It’s great fun following your trip Chris & Mick – somewhere else to add to the list of places to go. Hopefully we can catch up when we are both in Sydney. Continue to enjoy this wonderful world!
Simply life is good! Nice video, nice lifestyle, nice couple. Hugs.
