We boarded our Jetstar flight at Sydney Airport only to find that we were in the last 2 seats in the last row at the very back of the plane. No window to look out of but so close to the toilets that I almost didn’t have to leave my seat to have a pee!!!
Our flight to Adelaide was fairly uneventful except for the bumpy landing at Adelaide Airport due to some very strong crosswinds. We collected our Hertz rent a car set up Andrew’s Tom Tom GPS to direct us into Adelaide central where we had organised our accommodation at the Seville Suites. We unpacked the car, got settled into our room then decided to walk down Hinderely St to Rundle St Mall. There seemed to be alot of vacant shops along the way and overall Adelaide doesn’t seem to have changed much since the 20 years I had been there last. Still very much a large country town.
The weather was much cooler than when we left Sydney so we decided to warm up with coffee at the downtown Starbucks. We then walked by the Adelaide University, the Adelaide Museum and then onto The Festival Theatre Complex That is looking very tired and dated. We then past the Adelaide casino and main railway station back to our hotel. We had a bit of a rest before driving back to Adelaide University to do some night photography.
We grabbed a bite to eat at “Wok in a Box” and sat some sidewalk tables watching the rain tumble down. Then drove to North Adelaide past Adelaide Oval and the cathedral then back to the Hotel for an early night.
